World XI Bowling Routs Barbados

The Australian fast bowlers, G. D. McKenzie and N. J. Hawke, led the assault yesterday as Barbados crashed to 84 all out in its first innings against the Rest of the World XL
In a two-hour period between lunch and tea, Barbados lost eight wickets for 54 runs.

Hawke and McKenzie achieved the early breakthrough, Hawke sending back C. C. Hunte and McKenzie dismissing M. R. Bynoe and S. M. Nurse with successive balls.
Then the West Indies offspinner, L. S. Gibbs (3/13), and the Pakistan leg-spinner, Mushtaq Mohammed (3/23), broke the back of the innings. Barbados was all out 15 minutes after tea when Gibbs bowled the home side’s captain, G. S. Sobers for 32—the top score for Barbados. W. M. Lawry, did not enforce the follow on, in spite of a lead of 224 runs and at stumps the Rest had made 47 for two in its second inn-
