The Australian fast bowlers, G. D. McKenzie and N. J. Hawke, led the assault yesterday as Barbados crashed to 84 all out in its first innings against the Rest of the World XL

In a two-hour period between lunch and tea, Barbados lost eight wickets for 54 runs.

Hawke and McKenzie achieved the early breakthrough, Hawke sending back C. C. Hunte and McKenzie dismissing M. R. Bynoe and S. M. Nurse with successive balls.
