Sir,—Grocery lines are increasing in price. Supermarkets—the “cheap” way to shop —grow bigger and better. Prizes are being offered to shoppers—one organisation offers 120,000 prizes. Who, may 1 ask, pays for all these trips overseas, home appliances, etc., which are offered to prize-winners? Perhaps if all thl-. was cut out, groceries need not rise in price.— Yours, etc., CONSUMER. March 1, 1967.
