Match Firm Buys Land
(N Z. Press Association) NAPIER, Feb. 28. The international firm of match manufacturers, Bryant and May, Bell and Company, Ltd., has bought 14) acres of industrial land at Onekawa, Napier, from the Napier City Council. The land was purchased because projected road development threatened the company’s activities at its present; match factory in Tory street, 1 Wellington. The company had no present intention of moving from Wellington, but the purchase was intended to safeguard the company’s position should it be forced to move, the directors said.
