Excavation For The Beaumonts
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) ADELAIDE, February 28. Work will begin today on the excavation of a Paringa warehouse in the search for the three missing Beaumont children.
The chairman of the Citizens’ Action Committee, Mr G. R. Dawson, said last night that the committee was still 795 dollars short of the minimum need for the work, but a meeting last night had decided to instruct engineers and builders to begin work. There would probably be no
actual digging today, as it will first be necessary to erect partitions to seal the remainder of the warehouse. Pin-pointed
The warehouse was built last year on a site pin-pointed by the Dutch clairvoyant, Mr Gerard Croiset, as being the grave of the Beaumont children who disappeared after swimming at Glenelg beach on January 26 last year. Mr Dawson said that a twoweek time limit had been placed on the excavation, and until it was completed the committee would not be able to give any indication as to its success or failure. This was part of an agreement signed with the co-own-ers. So far, the committee had raised 4005 dollars from public subscription.
