Generator Parts
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Feb. 27. The largest single shipment yet of electrical equipment for the New Zealand Electricity Department’s hydro-elect-ric development of the Waitaki river has arrived at Timaru on the Schie Lloyd. The vessel will discharge some 600 tons of generator parts and switching equipment for Aviemore. The principal item is four 40-ton stator sections for the first of the four 55,000-kilo-watt generators being made by the Siemens Electrical Company, West Germany.
