Scholarship Granted
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. New Zealand’s most promising young field events athlete, J. Antunovich, of Auckland, has been granted an athletic scholarship at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. This will pay his tuition fees of £5OO a year for three years. He will enter the university next September as a sophomore (second-year student), having had a year’s study at Auckland University. Antunovich is the holder of the New Zealand junior shot and discus records, having broken the national discus record five times this season.
