MILITARY BANNING
No Meetings In Djakarta (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) DJAKARTA, Feb. 27. Military authorities to'ay banned all demonstrations and mass gatherings in Djakarta to prevent a repetition of the violence which followed President Suk o’s withdrawal from power last Wednesday. A decree issued by the Djakarta Garrison Commander, Major-General Amir Machmud, said that the ban was intended to help create an atmosphere conceive to peace. The violence erupted after the President transferred power to General Suharto.
