Keino 9th In Three Miles

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) TORONTO. Kenya’s world record-holder for the 5000 metres, K. Keino, disappointed a large crowd at an indoor athletics meeting in Toronto on Saturday, finishing ninth of 10 runners in the threemile event. The race was won by the Canadian, D. Ellis, in 13min 35.25ec. There was no official time for Keino. The Kenyan, who won the gold medal in the three miles at the Comomnwealth Games in Jamaica last summer, led the field with six laps remaining, but faded quickly.
