TOYS FOR BRITAIN
••The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. Feb. 26. I New Zealand is exporting toys to the United Kingdom. A shipment has left Auckland for London, opening a new market which the manufacturing company hopes to extend to the Continent. The firm, Lincoln Industries, Ltd, already exports toys to Australia. The initial shipment comprises 600 large, fully-rigged keeler yachts and 3600 blastoff rockets. “This is the first delivery of orders taken for five times that volume,” said Mr L. Laidlaw, the managing director. The company’s marketing director (Mr W. Prior) had written the initial orders at the recent Brighton Toy Fair. “Mr Prior has also been attending toy fairs in Nuremberg, Germany, and Milan, Italy, and we are hopeful of further orders from those countries,” said Mr Laidlaw.
