In exercise of the discretion conferred on it, the Committee has determined that the present applications of income shall be for research and education in the production, processing and marketing of wool, the general development and Improvement of the sheep and wool industry, and the promotion of this industry for the national benefit and advantage. Applications are invited for grants, travel costs, or work subsidies to assist individuals to engage in research, or make some other positive contribution in the production, processing or marketing fields of the Sheep and Wool Industry. Grants may also be made to aid research or development programmes being conducted by ofganisations. The value of each award shall be determined separately, and shall be of such amount and on such conditions as the Committee decides. In the case of individuals, awards shall not exceed £2500 save in exceptional circumstances approved by the Committee. Early application* are requested.
