Only a moderate bench of buyers followed the Methven and wether lamb fair and although bidding was not snlTlted, there was «H 1 a good clearance.
For ewe lambs, the sale started ratber sluggishly with value* back 2* to 3s a head on the recent Tinwald fair, but it Improved and finished at about on a par with Tinwald rates.
Wether lambs were no! yarded In such large numbers as last year and values would be back by about 2s to 3s a head on Tinwald rates. Extra good ewe lambs sold un to 70s, with good lambs ranging from about S2s to 565, medium at 46s to 31. and small to medium at 35s to 435.
Good wether lambs sold from about 40s 6d to 475, with medium at 33s to 395, and imall ranging down to 235. Shorn wether lambs realised from 25s «d to 36s «d.
