‘Support Maoists’

China’s Liberation Army today renewed a call to officers and men of the Chinese Army to give “full support” to the Maoist revolutionaries in their struggle to seize power from reactionary elements.
In an editorial quoted by Radio Peking, the Army organ said the cultural revolution had reached a decisive stage and the Chinese army was an “important guarantee to win victory.” The paper warned the Army units to be on the alert against the “provocations” of the “imperialists, revisionists and reactionaries.”
