HUNT FOR ESCAPER
Blake Said To Be In U.K.
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Jan. 23. British security men believe master spy George Blake, who escaped from prison on October 22, may still be hiding in the British Isles, the Associated Press reported. Blake was serving a 42-year sentence for spying for Russia while working for British Intelligence. The hunt for Blake attracted fresh attention after Scotland Yard announced it wished to question Sean Alphonsus Bourke, a 32-year-old Irishman, who was in Wormwood Scrubs prison at the same time as Blake. As the hunt for Blake increased in London this weekend, there were reports that a fingerprint identified as that of Blake was found in part of a house previously occupied by Bourke.
