There wu a poor demand for vegetables, which were in fair supply on Christchurch produce market, yeaterday. New season's nectarines and apricots were in good supply, but there was a shortage of case peaches and plums. The price list supplied by the Christchurch Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers’ Association is:— Cabbages.—To 12s a case. Cauliflowers.—To 15s a case. Beetroot.—To 6s a case. Pumpkins.—To 25s a case. Peas.—To 8s a case. Sllverbeet.—To 7s a case. Onions (spring). To 5s a case. Celery.—To 9s a case. Swedes.—To 5s a case. Lettuces.—To 28s a case. New Potstoes.—To Sa a case. Carrots.—To 7s 6d a case. Spinach.—To 8s a case. Tomatoes.—To 2s a pound. Cucumbers—iss to 20s a case. Apricots.—l2s fid to 25s a case. Case Peaches.—l3s to 20s a case. Tray Peaches.—los to 12s a case. Nectarines.—l4s to 22s a case. Apples —<oa to 50s a case. Plums.—lto to IBs a case.
