Carroll Memorial Hut
Sir, —I would like to correct your description of the picture of the hut on Kelly’s range which appeared in yes-1 terday’s edition of your paper. It was in the process of being 1 built when my brother, Patrick St. Edmund Joseph Carroll was killed in the South-] ern Alps about 30 years ago' on February Uth or 12th—we're not sure which. His i body was brought down from more than 10,000 ft. If myj memory serves me right, the plaque which was nailed to t’ o hut was Worded: “The Carroll Memorial Hut” (not “The Carol Hut”).—Yours, (Mrs) MARGARET M. WEIR.I
