Can Baldness be Cured? Clive says “No!” Once a man is slick bald, there is nothing known to science that will restore his hair.

WHAT CAUSES BALDNESS? As outlined by the Clive Manager, there are four general reasons why a man's (or woman’s) hair fails to keep on growing. Over 90 per cent, of all bald- . ness is the result of local scalp disorders. Most common of these are dandruff (three varieties), poor blood circulation in the scalp, and excessively dry or oily hair. Most balding men suffer from a combination of such disorders. All of them can be corrected by appropriate methods. IS BALDNESS HEREDITARY? Some people inherit a type of scalp structure that makes them especially subject to baldness. This accounts for the popular notion that baldness runs in families. BUT any such inherited weakness can be overcome by, firstly, doing something about it at an early stage, by making your scalp healthy and keeping it healthy. PHYSIOLOGY. Some baldness is caused by systemic diseases and pathological conditions that cannot be

helped by any scalp authority. Clive Advisers will not attempt to help these hopeless cases. They are rare, however, and together account for less than five per cent of human baldness. WHAT CAN BE DONE? There is no magic formula or ‘cure-all’. Results are achieved by adapting a programme to the condition of each individual scalp.
