Tarzan May End

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) NEW YORK, January 15. Tarzan, the Actional jungle king, may swing his way through the newspaper comic strip for the last time next month, when a contract expires between the estate of his creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and a features syndicate.

The comic strip, which has been running for about 30 years, has appeared in 225 newspapers. The contract with United Features is being allowed to end by mutual consent, because income from the syndication is not regarded as adequate to be divided three ways —between the Burroughs

estate, the syndicate, and artist, Mr John Celardo, who has drawn the comic strip for the last 13 years.
