FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation. —An intense anti-cyclone is centred south of the Chatham Islands with a warm moist north-easterly airstream flowing over the country. Forecast: Canterbury, Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland.—Light or moderate variable winds with day-time sea breezes about the coasts. Fog area about the east coast, clearing during the morning. Otherwise fine and warm.
