CANOEIST SAFELY ASHORE.—Mr Wilfred Rollett, a farmer, of Albany, Auckland, preparing a fish meal at his camp at Elephant Bay, Mayor Island. Mr Rollett travelled round the Coromandel Peninsula in a 12ft canoe, and beached his craft on Mayor Island for repairs. He declined assistance, as he was fit and well.
