Kiilburn, won the 80 metres Victorian women’s hurdles final by two yards from the New Zealand girl. Miss Brenda Matthews, on Saturday after leading all the way. Miss Kilburn's time was given at ll.Osec —a great run against a head wind of 3.1 metres a second. Miss Matthews’ time was given unofficially as 11.6 sec, but this must have been wrong. As the New Zealand girl was only two yards away, she must have run 11.2 sec. Miss Matthews won her heat in 11.2 sec. An Australian, Miss J. Pollock, took the open 100 metres for the third year, in a thrilling final. She scored narrowly from Miss Kilborn.
