The champion New Zealand mare, Robin Dundee, will meet one of her chief rivals for the Inter-Dominion pacing title for the first time when she clashes with the Tasmanian hope, Halwes, at the Melbourne Show Grounds tonight. Robin Dundee has drawn No. 5 at the barrier In the £l6OO New Year Free-for-All. This is regarded as the ideal starting position. Melbourne enthusiasts are looking forward to seeing the New Zealand champion in action once again, In spite of her unplaced run in the Invitation Pacer’, Race over 12i furlongs last Saturday night.
