Dumping Of Rubbish
Sir, —Those who do not dump rubbish in the river or country to the distress of viewers and farmers may burn it to the torment of neighbours breathing the fouled air. The solution, of course, is civic composting of waste matter to replenish the soil in a scientific manner. Bags of this type of fertiliser are sold for profit by city councils which realise its worth. Do authorities need educating in the prevention of all types of pollution and in the profitable disposal of valuable wastes?—Yours, etc., HEALTH OUTLOOK. December 30. 1966.
