Boy Walked In Path Of Train

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 21. An eight-year-old boy who died after being struck by a train at Mt Eden on November 22, was the author of his own death, the Auckland Coroner, Mr A. D. Copeland, said today. Mr Copeland found that the boy, Gary John Hensleigh, of Mt Eden, died on November 23 from head injuries he suffered when he walked into the path of a train. Carlton Warwick Pollard, managing-director, of Parnell, said he was driving along Boston road when he saw a small boy walking toward the tracks. The warning bells were ringing. The boy walked straight into the front of the train. He seem oblivious of the train and the engine driver did not have a chance of stopping.
