HOKITIKA, Dec. 20.
An application by Carpentaria Exploration Pty., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Australian mining group, Mt. Isa Mines, Ltd., for a mineral prospecting licence of 8800'acres of beachsands in the Westland land district, was recommended for grant to the Minister of Mines in the Warden’s Court at Hokitika this morning.
