AIRSCOL DEAD
Foster Mare Sought Airscol, the^damof the good winner Shakes, died soon after foaling a Pictavia colt on Thursday. Efforts by the mare’s owner, Mr A. R. Bussell, and the Riccarton studmaster, Mr G. H. Murfitt Jun., to find a foster mother for the youngster had not been successful up to yesterday, but they, were still hoping to hear from an owner of a mare that might have lost a foal. Airscol was a winner in Mr Bussell’s colours. Foaled in 1949, she was by Airway from Scold by Myosotis from Berate, and belonged to the same family as the high-class performer, Chide.
