VICTORY SCHOOL
The Victory Memorial School, which will close this month, has been offered by the Diocese of Christchurch to St. Margaret’s College, but no decision on acceptance has yet been made. This was announced at the St Margaret’s College prizegiving by the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt. Rev. W. A. Pyatt). The Victory Memorial School is a primary school of the Church of England, established in 1884. It moved to its present Springfield road site and was given its present name in 1922. The stone building has five classrooms, a hall, and offices.
