Party-Hat Prizes
Members of the women’s group of the Royal Commonwealth Society took to their recent Christmas party decorative party hats to be given to children at the Occupation Centre, Merivale. The prize for the most attractive hat was awarded to Mrs R. Mathews, and the prize for the most original entry to Mrs B. McLeod. Members and their guests were welcomed by Mrs R. J. G. Collins. A programme was presented by Mrs M. Mason, who was accompanist for musical items and Christmas carols. A Christmas cake was cut by Mrs J. D. Arthur.
Gift From Lions.—At the annual Christmas party of the Lyttelton Kindergarten Association on Wednesday evening, the president of the Lyttelton Lions Club (Captain C. C. Gass) handed over a scrubber floor-polisher as a gift from the club.
