FOUR FROM MARE
Nominations At Rangiora Four of the progeny of the brood mare, Margaret Gamble, have been entered for the Rangiora Trotting Club’s summer meeting on Saturday week. Smokey Gamble, a six-year-old by Smokey Hanover, has been entered for the Fernside Handicap, Gift Duty, a five-year-old by Fallacy, has been entered for the Orford Handicap, and Phillmark, a four-year-old sister of Gift Duty, is in the Rangiora Cup. Home On, a filly by Thunder On, has been entered for the Rangiora Raceway Stakes. Moose, a nine-year-old sister of Phillmark, last Friday produced a filly foal by the dual New Zealand Cup winner, Lordship. The filly, owned by Mr G. N. Dalzell, of Culverden, is the only live foal of her sire.
Lordship was mated with two mares last spring, but one of them. Ginger Top, failed to produce a foal.
