Three Houses Sold
A two-storey house in two semi-flats on a section of 20 perches, zoned residential B, at 54 Springfield road, St. Albans, was sold for £2400 at public auction yesterday. The opening bid was £2OOO. There were four bids of £lOO. Offered on account of the estate of Edmond James Carney, a four-roomed cottage on a section of 20 perches at 11 Poulson street, Addington, was sold for £l5OO. The initial bid was £llOO. There were three bids of £lOO and two of £5O.
Both sales were held by Binns, Barber, and Keenan, Ltd. The firm has also sold a house at 33 Mandeville street, Riccarton, by private treaty. The property was passed in at £3200 when offered at auction.
