Boy Hurt In Collision
Kenneth Harvey, aged nine, son of Mr and Mrs R. G. Harvey, of 32 Lower Styx road, suffered, head injuries and abrasions in a collision between his bicycle and a light truck at the corner of Preston and Marshland roads about 8.25 a.m. yesterday. The boy was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital where his condition was reported to be fairly satisfactory. The driver of the truck, Mr D. J. F. Skene, of 67 Hoon Hay road, swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision, and the truck rolled on its side over a ditch at the roadside. He was not hurt, but the truck was damaged.
