Cathedral Guides
People willing to become accredited guides of Christchurch Cathedral are being sought by the Dean (the Very Rev. M. Underhill). In his weekly newsletter, Mr Underhill says that accredited guides are required “so that in popular periods and at popular times we may always have two or three people ready to conduct visitors around the Cathedral.” Mr Underhill is also looking for people to man a bookstall in the Cathedral foyer selling post cards and guide books, and a “retired school teacher or university sort of type,” to be Cathedral archivist to keep a full record of Cathedral activities.
