Mr S. J, Moore
Resigns
Mr S. J. Moore, a steward of the New Brighton Trotting Club for 20 years, has resigned as a member of the committee.
Mr Moore, who was first appointed a steward in 1946, has been a member of the committee of -the club since 1947. He was president from 1955 until 1957 and was elected a life member last July. Mr Moore was for many years chairman of the grounds committee when the club raced on its own course, and he was large responsible for the extensive tree-plant-ing scheme carried out by the club.
He has been replaced on the committee by Mr G. N. Hammett, who has been a steward of the club for some years.
