TRIO GUILTY OF FRAUD
Remanded For Sentence

NAPIER, Dec. 6.
A Supreme Court jury today found three Napier men guilty on a number of fraud charges relating to the purchase and repair of damaged vehicles, and their subsequent sales.
lan Murray Frater, aged 23. car wrecker, and Walter Reed, 41, panel beater, were found guilty on seven counts of fraud.
Cyril Eric Ferguson, aged 39, company manager, was found guilty on three counts of fraud.
All had pleaded not guilty
On three of the fraud counts, where he was charged jointly with Frater and Reed, Ferguson was acquitted. Mr Justice McGregor remanded the three accused in custody until tomorrow morning when they will be sentenced. The jury retired at 12.30 p.m. and emerged at 3.50 p.m. to deliver its verdict.
Mr G. E. Bisson, with him Mr A. J. Coleman, prosecuted for the Crown. Reed and Frater were represented by Mr R. G. Gallen, and Ferguson was represented by Mr J. C. K. Fabian.
