Wheat Levy Commission
Flourmillers would soon be able to receive a commission from the Wheat Research Committee for the collection of the wheat levy, the Wheat Research Committee was told at its meeting at Lincoln yesterday. The director of the Wheat Research Institute (Mr R. L. Cowley) told members that though they had on a previous occasion assented to the millers being paid a commission for levy collection, the Act governing the committee’s levy had contained no provision for that to be done.
However, the Act had now been changed to permit the millers to obtain a commission and the only machinery necessary to permit the scheme to go Into operation was for a change in the regulations.
“That will be done in plenty of time for the scheme to oporitt ant MMca," ha Mid.
