Withdrawn.— Winner of five New Zealand bowls titles, T. T. Skoglund has withdrawn from the national championships at Wellington in January because of illness. This will be the fourth consecutive national tournament that Skoglund has missed.
Tennis Chairman.—Mr W. N. Macpherson has been elected chairman of the Australian Lawn Tennis Association’s selection and ranking committee, succeeding the Davis Cup captain. Mr H. Hopman.
Marathon Runner. One of Japan’s top marathon runners, K. Kimihara, will come to New Zealand to train early next month.
