Prize money for the Metalcraft golf tournament at Hamilton will be increased from £l2OO to £2OOO next year, a spokesman for the company announced yesterday.
The tournament will also be moved to the Miramar course, Wellington. “We have got to shift now and then to get new galleries and the players like it too,” the spokesman said. The management of New Zealand Forest Products also confirmed yesterday that its sponsored Tokoroa tournament, being held tomorrow, Friday and Saturday this week, will not be held next year.
The only tournament to be played in Waikato next season will be the New Zealand Open at St. Andrews.
