SUCCESSFUL COMBINATION.—The Ashburton pair, I. Begbie (rider) and D. Harper (passenger), on their way to victory in the final motor-cycle sidecar combination race at the Templeton Speedway on Saturday. Begbie and Harper won three of the four races held during the evening. Harper is better known for his ability at the wheel of a three-quarters midget racing car. He is currently joint leader of the South Island championship series.
