“The Press" Special Servlet INVERCARGILL. St. Andrew’s College was beaten outright by Southland B.H.S. when their two-day cricket match ended with an hour to spare at Invercargill yesterday. Slow batting and low scoring were a feature of the match, and bowlers produced outstanding performances. None of its players reached double figures in St. Andrew’s first innings.
Scores: Southland 72 (C. W. McKenzie 22. N. G. Polson 21; M. Sidey 6/9) and 72 (M. Fisher 3/9, D. Tait 3/11), St. Andrew’s 37 (J. L. Watson 5/20) and 54 <F. Galloway 24 not out. M. A. Fisher 14: M. J. Pascoe 3/7, Watson 3/14).
