TURNED OUT
Riccarton Trio Agrippa Ta'hu Koura and Maggy Lu', all members of J. L. Barr’s team, have been turned out to spell. Agrippa, which failed to strike winning form on his latest campaign, has been turned out an the property of his Amberley owner, Mr H. D. Greenwood. Tahu Koura and Maggy Lu. both two-year-old fillies by Golden Plume, will be spelled in the North Island. They went north on Thursday night on the way to the Kinross Stud, at Te Kauwhata, where they were foaled. Status Symbol, which had to be put out of training because of muscular trouble, has rejoined the Barr team. She will probably be ready for late summer racing. Benefice, which won three races when a member of J. L. Barr’s team earlier in his career, will rejoin the stable later this week. Mr E. C. Hocking’s Someo gelding has been unplaced in his two races this season as a member of A. J. Bourne’s team. He had a similar record as a five-year-old last season when he was prepared by A. N. Didham, at Wingatui. Off-Course Bets (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Investments with the Totalisator Agency Board on yesterday’s Beaumont meeting amounted to £68,780 (win and place £31,947: doubles £38,833). The off-course substitute was Segundo.
