Movie Club Films

Six professional films, dealing with nature, industry and art, were shown on the president’s night of the Christchurch Movie Club, by courtesy of the British Trade Commission and the National Film Library.

The first film, “Wind On the Heath,” dealt with the 10 national parks of England. This was followed by a film on developments in the pottery industry. A film by Hermonia Tyrolora, a world recognised expert in animation and puppetry; a documentary on the life and art of Michelangelo; and a film dealing with the production of cashmere garments were also screened. The final film was about the use of litter baskets in London railway stations.
