R. Hood Wins Men’s Event (N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH. In windy conditions, which made diving difficult, the New Zealand champion and Empire Games representative, R. Hood, wone the national one-metre diving competition at Palmerston North yesterday. Last year’s girl®' champion, Mis® K. Vincent, retained her title, and also won the women’s championships. C.
