Cardigan Bay won the 50,000dollar National Pacing Derby at Roosevelt Raceway on Saturday night, beating Adios Marches by a length and a quarter in 15-degree cold. The 10-year-old gelding won 25.000 dollars for his second straight victory in the Derby, and increased his earnings to 714,476 dollars. S. Dancer, a part-owner, sent Cardigan Bay over the distance in 2:34 3-5.
