‘Few Are Up To Standard 9 Of the food premises in Akaroa only two hotels fully complied with the minimum standards of the relevant food premises regulations, which had been in force for at least 14 years, the Akaroa County health inspector (Mr A. J. Riley) told the Akaroa County Council in a letter. As councillors and town committee members would probably agree, the raising of standards was a gradual matter, the letter said, but much tolerance had previously been shown and the standard must be improved. Another evaluation of the premises would be made next March.
