SKILL WITH PEOPLE
Concern Of Church
Although considerable renewal had taken place, the Christian Church was often weakest at the parish level, the Rev. C. A. Mitchell, director of counselling for the Presbyterian Church in Christchurch, told the Social Services Council of the Anglican Diocese of Christchurch. The Church should make itself, more competent in showing concern for people. There was a need to transform the challenge seen into "an exhibition of skills,” Mr Mitchell said.
It was competence which counted most with ordinary people, he said. There was a need for fresh ways in doing the Church’s work effectively.
