Bequests of £250
Bequests of £lOO each to the Nurse Maude District Nursing Association and the Canterbury and West Coast branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society, have been made under the will of Jessie Barker Wilkin, a spinster, who died at Christchurch on October 29. Miss Wilkin has also left £5O to the Wellington Braille Club. The Christchurch Aged People’s Welfare Council, and the Canterbury Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, will benefit under the will of Olive Abigail Quaife, a widow, who died at Christchurch on November 3. After making a number of private bequests, Mrs Quaife left the balance of her estate to the two organisations, in equal shares. Probate of both wills has been granted in the Supreme Court.
