Some wine sold in Britain as “French” really came from East Europe, Mr Arthur Lewis, M.P., claimed today. Mr Lewis, a Labour member, said Bulgarian, Hungarian and Russian wine was involved. He said his information was that Bulgarian wine, imported through France, was sold in Britain at twice the price that could be obtained if the real country of origin were known.—London, November 29. By 3 p.m. the temperature had dropped to 61 degrees. At the Botanic Gardens a temperature of 62 degrees was recorded at 3 p.m. and the temperature gauge on the Government Life Building showed 65 degrees at 4.30 p.m. Grapefruit Juice Grapefruit juice is now being bottled in New Zealand The Waikato Milk Company, Ltd., Hamilton, has begun bottling the juice extracted from Tauranga grapefruit. The bottling is done three times a week and sales have reached nearly 1000 gallons a week.
