FIELD DAY AT LINCOLN

Two-day Fixture

Not Favoured

A suggestion that the field day at Lincoln College to be a two-day event received little support at a monthly meeting of the college council. Professor I. E. Coop said he would be reluctant to return to the old system. He said the many visitors had caused trouble only on the AshUfey Dene farm. “We were caught this time by an exceptionally nice day,” said Professor Coop. “Farmers couldn’t do anything on their farms so they thought they might as well come to Lincoln.” “Couldn’t or wouldn’t?” asked a member of the council.

In his report the principal (Dr. M. M. Burns) said the field day in October had been highly successful with about 1100 visitors.
