I The owner of Barellan, Mr iL. N. Hodgson, said yester- : day that he had turned down an overseas offer of 15,000 i guineas for his gelding and 112,000 guineas for Lu Filou,
Barellan is the north's outstanding three-year-old and iLu Filou is one of the best ' middle-distance runners.
Barellan continued his preparation for the Waikato ■ Guineas with a mile 15 feet iout on the inside grass at Te Awamutu yesterday in Imin 47 3-ssec. For all his hard gracing and training work he i blew afterwards.
