Increase Of 24,9 p.c.

WELLINGTON, Nov. 23.
Alliance Textiles Ltd., Oamaru woollen and worsted manufacturer, increased its profit by £31,771, or 24.9 per cent to £159,000 in the year to October 19, directors say in a preliminary report. Total dividend has been held at 12} per cent with a final of 6.65 per cent Sales for the year show a substantial increase and the full amount has been made for depreciation, say directors.
The earning rate on capital rises from 15.8 to 19.8 per cent.
The latest dividend is payable on February 22, ex February 9.
Burke’s Plans 1:4 at 6s 6d
Burke's Caterers, Ltd., Christchurch caterer and hotel owner, will raise its capital by £31,250 to £156,250 by an issue of one for four ordinary 5s shares at 6s 6d. The issue will be made to shareholders registered on April 10 of next year.
