Record Sales, Profits
T. J. Edmonds, Ltd., Christchurch foods group, will pay a maiden interim dividend of 5 per cent after record sales and profit for the six months to the end of September, says the chairman (Mr C. W. Evans) in his interim report. Last year, a dividend of 124 per cent was declared.
The diversification policy has been pursued, says Mr Evans.
Edmonds White Wings, Ltd., has added to its range of products and its share of the market is increasing satisfactorily. The sales volume of this company should be double that of the last financial year. The parent company is trading at a very satisfactory level in its traditional products. Banks Dividend Up To 20 p.c. C. M. Banks, Ltd., Wellington stationer and colour printer, has increased its annual dividend from 15 to 20 per cent for its latest year.
The dividend is payable on December 15, ex dividend December 3.
